Is this just a welcome and/or is there anything you've noticed me doing incorrectly or a larger idea/thing I'm failing to do? Wehavealwayslivedinthearchive (talk) 18:28, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
thank you! Wehavealwayslivedinthearchive (talk) 18:30, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Wehavealwayslivedinthearchive! Your edits to this article were most welcome. I have largely restored the intro, as it was perfectly OK, not promotional in any way, just factual information. Your revision included a construction familiar to Australians only through US movies: "through", as in "kindergarten through Year 12" or "December through February". I made further edits to the original, removing a few boastful terms and some uncited instances of past achievements presented as though they were usual. Not an easy introduction to editing, and you did well. My personal advice would be to read lots of articles on subjects with which you are familiar, and only edit those which are poorly worded, or add information where you have reliable sources. One rather humble but useful task which I undertake, is to reduce ALL UPPER CASE TEXT in references to Title Case or sentence case, whichever is required (but not filenames etc., which may render them useless). You'd be surprised at how it improves readability of references. Read WP:SHOUTING for more info. I hope this helps. Good luck with your future endeavors!
