OpenGroupware.org hi whitemice, can you point me to the part of the software that is licensed under the License: GPL/LGPL, as i downloaded the software and only found the copyrighted part, so maybe i missed something here ? Mion 18:21, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The license is stated on the page License

From the README file in the root of the source:

License and copyright information for the various modules are contained in the appropriate

COPYRIGHT and COPYING / COPYING.LIB

files. Except for modules contained in the ThirdParty directory, most sources are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License and the copyright is owned by SKYRIX Software AG.

Some parts are GPL and others are LGPL as appropriate. For instance the WebUI is LGPL as stated, and the license is included, in WebUI/COPYING.LIB. And the ZideStore license is in ZideStore/COPYING, etc... It is admittedly a bit complicated, but so it groupware. :)

Also AFAIK every since source file contains a license disclaimer such as:

OGo is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the GNU Lesser General Public License for more details.

I am an OpenGroupware.org developer, among others, with commit access to the source code tree, and I've been using and developing OpenGroupware since 2003 when it became an Open Source project.
