I went back pretty far, pretty much as far as the single purpose removal of references to Riot Grrrl, Tobi Vail, and Bikini Girl went. Before that, the edits were a bit less disruptive, I reverted a few, but not all, as they tended to be a little more out of my realm of knowledge, so I figured they could be taken care of by other editors who might be watching those pages. The user hasn't edited in a few days, so I presume the disruption is over, though I've got their talk page on my watchlist in case. I'll let ya know if anything comes up though. Cheers! Murderbike (talk) 22:23, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up, I reverted all of the edits made. Murderbike (talk) 20:34, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, they're accusing them of being Courtney Love, which seems a little absurd, and definitely a personal attack. Murderbike (talk) 02:20, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
WTF
So what if it's written in british english, no need to spell things wrong. Fucking elitists bastards. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr. Bates (talk • contribs) 04:54, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've no idea to what you are referring but the Wikipedia manual of style is quite clear on this. Wwwhatsup (talk) 05:25, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Re: Johnny Green
Hi Joly, I agree with you 100% about an article for Johnny Green. This morning, I removed that wrong link from some articles related to The Clash because he is not the same Johnny Green, but you know that. Sure, he must be included in the disambiguation page. I've not a lot of material about Johnny to create a non-stub article for him but it is not prohibited to start a new article as a stub. There are some general principles that must be followed before to start a new article. He (Johnny Green) wrote the band's bibliography A Riot of Our Own, followed the band during their gigs, .... If you have a chance to do so, .... Sure! And, please, keep me informed of that. If you are not sure, you should consider to use the WP The Clash's non article pages, for example List of related articles, as a scratch page, a block notes, a clipboard that can be used to collect information about Johnny Green before to start the article. Thanks a lot for your suggestion. —PJoe F. (talk • contribs) 17:09, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
I copied your question to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject The Clash so it will get more attention, and I also added Johnny Green (manager) to the "To Create" section in the project's to do list. Thanks again —PJoe F. (talk • contribs) 12:13, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- Good. I don't have sufficient resources to really take it on myself. I knew him quite well back in the day and loved his book. I trust you liked my recent addition to the Topper article. Wwwhatsup (talk) 16:14, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- I liked it very much! Thank you! About our project I added a new template for welcoming new members. Please, visit our assessment department when you have a chance. Many articles have made significant changes and many are not rated at all. I can't do it because I worked on most of them. You'll find a list of articles in the Requesting an assessment section. Did you have a copyright free image of Topper Headon to be used in the infobox musical artist template on Topper's article (and in The Clash#Post-Clash careers section too)??? —PJoe F. (talk • contribs) 12:38, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yes I can do some assessing. I have to learn the ratings. I believe the Marty Munsch article doesn't merit inclusion. Sorry. no pics of Topper. Wwwhatsup (talk) 19:51, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Thank you Wwwhatsup, the ratings are done in a distributed fashion through parameters in the project banner. There are two parameters, class and importance. The following values may be used for the class parameter: Stub; Start; B (for GA, A and FA, articles must be nominated for GA or FA). If an article received a rating on the Project's quality scale, all other WikiProjects must be set with the same value. The importance parameter is unrelated to the class parameter. Unlike the class parameter, the importance parameter varies based on the project scope. The following values may be used for the importance parameter: Low, Mid, High, Top. Criteria, Reader's experience and Editor's experience guidelines are available in the Quality scale section. To rate an article you must edit the article talk page and set the values for those parameters (class and/or importance). When you have rated an article please give a short summary at comments ([[Talk:ARTICLENAME/Comments]]) to explain the ratings and/or to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the article (click the comments wikilink on the project banner, but you know that). You'll find all the instructions you need in the assessment department of our project. To remove the Marty Munsch article from the project, the project banner in the talk page and the Clash category in the article page must be removed. Otherwise, it is possible to set its importance value to Low. If you need help ask me on my talk page, and thank you again. —PJoe F. (talk • contribs) 12:27, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Caroline Coon.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Caroline Coon.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 16:35, 29 January 2008 (UTC) Done. Wwwhatsup (talk) 16:42, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Redirects
Thanks a lot for all your help on here, buddy. I don't quite get you on the redirects though. For example, I could imagine someone typing in "Panda Bear (band)" and not finding anything... not knowing that he is listed as "Panda Bear (musician)" (as he should be as he is generally only one musician when he performs). How would I deal with that other than creating a redirect from Panda Bear (band) to (musician). How do you mean fix the link?
Thanks a lot for your time and helping me help Wikipedia more.
ps- I think I'm going to have to take a break from article creation for awhile to read up and work on other things in my life... but when I finish a new article, I might ask you to check it out and tell me what you think.
Thanks again, UltraCaution (talk) 17:11, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Anyone typing in "Panda Bear" would be redirected to Giant Panda, which contains a disambiguation statement that links to Panda Bear (musician). Wwwhatsup (talk) 17:28, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Warped Tour 2007
Thanks for actually being someone who thinks this article needs to stay. I just got them to semi-protect Warped Tour 2008 and now someone wants to delete that page along with all the rest. I can't even believe that they would want all of that information to just go up on Warped Tour, it's almost like they're not even looking at the article to see how large it is. Especially when they're wanting to put 2004-2008 on that page too. Your feedback on the 2008 article would be greatly appreciated since that's the current tour and all. Replaceable fair use Image:Caroline Coon.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Caroline Coon.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rossrs (talk) 13:18, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- I admit the FU rationale is weak. I will try writing for permission to the copyright holder. Please let it stay in the meantime. Wwwhatsup (talk) 16:28, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Better source request for Image:Kahn.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Kahn.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talkpage. Thank you. MECU≈talk 19:25, 6 March 2008 (UTC) Done Wwwhatsup (talk) 19:30, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Link to Bunny Lee Videoclip
Are you saying that no permission was given to link to the Youtube clip or that the people (MANY) who posted it on Youtube did not have your permission to post it there? How can linking to something be considered to be copyright infringement? I can understand if someone posted something on here (e.g. videoclip, audio clip, or text) that was copyrighted but merely a link? I believe that you are in error.
BTW, there are a number of people who have uploaded those clips to Youtube. So you may want to check it out as they are in violation of your copyright if that is your videoclip? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.158.96.151 (talk) 16:30, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- What I am saying is that Wikipedia policy precludes linking directly to copyright infringing material. YouTube has it's own policy that is not relevant here. I am not claiming any ownership on the clip in question, but merely stating - as the person who originally encoded it, that no permission from the copyright holder was ever obtained for it's dissemination. Now that the program has been released on DVD the copyright holder's rights should be respected. Wwwhatsup (talk) 19:40, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Ah, I got you know "Wikipedia policy precludes linking directly to copyright infringing material." Your original comment made it sound like there was a policy against linking to COPYRIGHTED material and there is no such policy. Well, that really will limit what one can post. I am definitely not clairvoyant and sites don't always state who holds copyright. I certainly don't have the time to write to every site owner or contributed and ask "Do you own the copyright to that clip?" I do have a life. I just won't contribute anything else. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.158.96.151 (talk) 19:48, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- I apologize for any confusion, but if you followed the associated link - you would have had no misunderstanding. I am sure you have valuable contributions to make to Wikipedia, but you should make yourself familiar with its policies to save wasted effort. Wikipedia's purpose is to provide a genuinely free resource in all meanings of the word free including republishing in any format including commercial. As such there are restrictions on content over and above what normally might be considered acceptable. Wwwhatsup (talk) 19:59, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
