Request IP Block Exemption
Ytx21cn (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Requesting an IP address block exemption, because I mostly live in China, which is known for the GFW that blocks or interrupts people's access to certain websites. Because of the GFW, I sometimes have to visit Wikipedia using a proxy, making me unable to edit pages, which is very inconvenient.
Accept reason:
Requirement for IPBE confirmed and granted as requested. I wish you happy editing! Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:48, 25 February 2016 (UTC)
I am really greatful to people who helped me. Thank you, because you never have to choose to do so. 13:34, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Ytx21cn - I see that you have already have IPBE granted on zh.wikipedia. Have you considered requesting global IPBE on Meta (via this link)? This will allow you to edit across all projects without having to request a block exemption at each individual project.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:30, 25 February 2016 (UTC)
- I currently understand Chinese and English. I wish I would learn another language one day. Currently I have no need to request global IP block exemption, but I will have the need if I learn a new language, or the Chinese GFW blocks all Wikimedia sites. --I am really greatful to people who helped me. - Ponyo, unfortunately, getting a global IPBE on Meta does not mean you’ll be able to edit on the English Wikipedia. I thought so to, and I tried do to that, but Ajraddatz explained that it doesn't work like that (see here), and he was right.
- It’s amazing that administrators keep blocking users from China and keep calling them “collateral damage”.
- Good luck to you, Ytx21cn --Babelfisch (talk) 18:14, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

Problem with your custom signature
You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.
The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.
The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.
- Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
- Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thank you. 18:03, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

- I have now made use of this template to display {{Unicode chart Domino Tiles}}. In the future users who want to write Unicode characters of the Domino tiles can use this template without looking up the code points in the Unicode table. --Ytx21cn (talk) 03:12, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
