- The result of the discussion was: delete. MER-C 09:04, 1 June 2019 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Weird category, we do not have practice of creating such categories, I feel. The surname Wikipedia article generally contains such list. Titodutta (talk) 19:23, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
- Delete, we do have family categories, but it is not clear whether these people are members of one family. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:22, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
- Delete, as an unconventional category of unrelated individuals. If anything it would be better to create a list article, or list these individuals in a surname article. Sionk (talk) 07:30, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
Convert to listas a WP:Anthroponymy article,Sonkar (surname). – Fayenatic London 12:50, 25 May 2019 (UTC)- Listify per Fayenatic. We do not allow SHAREDNAME categories, of which this is a prime example. Peterkingiron (talk) 14:26, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
- List of people with surname Sonkar already exists. Marcocapelle (talk) 17:29, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
- So it does – thanks. It was also created before the category. I've added one page from the category that was missing in the list. Delete the category. – Fayenatic London 22:32, 26 May 2019 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: merge as nominated. MER-C 18:12, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
- Propose merging Category:Literature in Northern Ireland to Category:Literature of Northern Ireland
- Propose merging Category:Fiction in Northern Ireland to Category:Fiction of Northern Ireland
- Propose merging Category:Poetry from Northern Ireland to Category:Poetry of Northern Ireland
- Nominator's rationale: merge or reverse merge, scope of the categories seem to coincide. Marcocapelle (talk) 13:01, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
- Merge - there's Literature of Northern Ireland to justify the 'of', as well as a previous cfd. Oculi (talk) 14:56, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

Category:Religion in Iraq by city
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was: merge. MER-C 18:14, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: upmerge as a redundant category layer, there are only two cities in Iraq needing a "by religion" category. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:51, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
- Comment -- I suspect there is scope for populating this rather better. Peterkingiron (talk) 14:27, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
- Which cities are you thinking of? Marcocapelle (talk) 17:34, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
- Merge. Category:Buildings and structures in Iraq by city doesn't show any potential to expand this beyond Baghdad & Mosul, based on current articles. E.g. there are 3 articles on mosques in Basra, but that would not justify a Religion hierarchy for Basra. – Fayenatic London 22:41, 26 May 2019 (UTC)

- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was: rename. MER-C 18:13, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: The name of the category is outdated as most categories use "State of Palestine" now. Also, the country's awards system seems to have been fully established in 2018. Nice4What (talk) 00:51, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
- Support per nom. In line with article State of Palestine and Category:State of Palestine. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:32, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
- What?: Why fully established in 2018 and not 2019? Benjaminkirsc (talk) 11:57, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
- The article says the Minister who created their awards system worked on it from 2009 to 2018. Nice4What (talk) 17:37, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
