- File:Ch2, Stirling.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- There is no verifiable proof on the file's description that this file is not eligible for copyright. This file seems to have originated from the United States, and for the image to be ineligible for copyright by default, it would have to have been published before 1923 ({{PD-US}}); this image is copyrighted in 1939. Also, this image does not qualify for {{PD-old-70}} since the author died in 1948; the file will not qualify for this tag until 2019. Steel1943 (talk) 03:03, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

- File:MbangOndoGabon.jpg.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Small resolution/file size for such a modern photograph. Likely cropped from a larger photo. Lacking EXIF data to corroborate self-work. Image appears of the type to be taken from a sports publication. Verification via OTRS or a full image with EXIF data should be required. Nick—Contact/Contribs 07:38, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

- Claimed as PD-self but previously published is listed as "google photoa" which leads me to believe the uploader may not understand copyright. (ESkog)(Talk) 18:54, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

- Tagged as PD-self but previously published field is labeled "on Google" which suggests uploader may not really get copyright issues. Note that this file is distinct from the above listed one. (ESkog)(Talk) 18:56, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

- Since the uploader has not provided a date for when this statue was created, there is a chance that this photo is a copyright violation as a derivative work since the statue may not be old enough to no longer be eligible for copyright. Steel1943 (talk) 19:06, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

- File:Dimo Hyun Jun Kim.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Per the metadata on the file, the author is "Steven Anderson". There is no verifiable proof that the uploader is that individual. Steel1943 (talk) 19:09, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

- File:Dragonfly morphology.png (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Image is traced from Walker, E.M., 1953. The Odonata of Canada and Alaska. Vol. 1. The Hooper Museum has a copy of the original plate on their website. I spent a number of hours trying to correct this image before realizing that it was blatantly plagarized. The errors are numerous--the wings are honey bee wings, and odonates do not have stingers! Please see a more detailed criticism on the original Wikipedia file. Finally, there is a substitute available, which is already in use on the Dragonfly page. M. A.
