Dharmacakra -- rather knobby for a chariot wheel
Our article Dharmacakra states that it is represented as a chariot wheel, but wouldn't that yield a bumpy ride? What gives (other than the chariot's suspension)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.49.242.117 (talk • contribs) 23:18, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
- If you do a Google Image search for "Dharmacakra", you'll see it comes in a lot of different motifs, some of which look more plausibly like chariot's wheels than others. I imagine the extra spokes and etc. are just for adornment. It's possible they have additional symbolism but I don't see any note of it. --Mr.98 (talk) 01:22, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
Celestial Coordinate System
Can anyone recommend me a good tutorial (either video or text) that I can freely access online to learn about the celestial coordinate system (Right Ascension, Declination, Equinoxes and stuff)? Thanks, Acceptable (talk) 23:28, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
- Did you try Celestial coordinate system? --Jayron32 23:59, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
