The Zaisan Bridge (Mongolian: Зайсангийн гүүр) is a bridge in Khan Uul, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

History

The bridge was originally constructed in 1968 for a 1-lane one-way traffic. A flood occurred during the construction of the bridge.[1] In 2012, the design of the new bridge took place. In September 2023, a new 2-lane section of the bridge was completed on its west side, making the bridge to wave 2-lane one-way traffic. On 1 November 2024, the old section of the bridge was closed and began to be dismantled.[2][3]

Technical specifications

The bridge has a length of 225 meters.[3] The new bridge is a steel cable-stayed reinforced concrete structure with three sets of 36 cables.[4]
