English: General James Longstreet’s grave in Alta Vista Cemetery; he was Lee’s right hand man. After Lee’s death Virginia officers conspired to blame Longstreet for the loss at Gettysburg, but his principal sin was joining the Republican Party and advocating suffrage for blacks.
The cemetery is listed in the National Registry, but I don't have the reference number. Longstreet's grave is the key feature in the cemetery and the only grave with an American flag flying over the grave site.
