This reconstruction shows the impact of the fossil on popular understanding of evolution. It is correct in showing a combination of bird-like and reptile-like features, though it has reconstructed Archaeopteryx as perching (a trait only found in the Neoaves), and the tail naked except for the side feathers (the top would have been covered in feathers too).
