Summary

Description
English: The Virgin of the Mercy, brought to Chile by Father Antonio Correa 1548.

The Order of Mercy Church, declared a National Monument in 1977.

When Pedro de Valdivia established Santiago in 1541, part of his entourage were brothers from the Order of Mercy. They built their first church here in 1566, this is the third on the site.
