English: This was taken with a Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens mounted on a Nikon F2 camera. This image demonstrates the vignetting issue involved in using a lens meant for use only on DX/APS-C-sized sensors on a full 35mm film frame or full-frame/FX sensor.
Due to the F2's lack of ability to control the aperture on this lens, the aperture was at its smallest setting, about ƒ/36. No record was kept of the shutter speed, but it was probably around 1/100 to 1/50 of a second, based on the Sunny 16 rule and an ISO of 400.
The focal length was set to 18mm. Through experimentation, I have determined that at focal lengths longer than about 24mm, this lens does, in fact, cover the full 35mm frame.
