English: Typhoon Hal on June 22, 1985. At the time Hal had winds of 87.8 knts (101 mph, 162.7 kph), 1-min sustained and a pressure of 960 mbar. Hal was about 35 miles away from land and 47 hours away from landfall. This image was taken by the NOAA-9 Satellite.
