Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Pada awalnya manusia menggunakan layang-layang untuk menakuti-nakuti musuh serta memberikan informasi tentang posisi baik kawan maupun lawan atau bahkan menakut-nakuti musuh. Kebiasaan ini dilakukan oleh bangsa Cina kuno. Kemudian pada layang layang dilengkapi dengan manusia untuk mengetahui secara detail posisi lawan. Penemuan balon udara dan Zeppelin juga mewarnai perkembangan pesawat militer. Digunakan mulai dari sekadar pengintaian dan digunakan sebagai pembom untuk mengebom posisi musuh. Tercatat diantaranya adalah Jerman yang memanfaatkan zeppelin untuk membom Inggris dalam Perang Dunia I. Dalam perjalanannya dibuat pesawat-pesawat dan dikembangkan untuk kepentingan peperangan dan pertempuran khususnya pertempuran udara.
