English: A photograph of PK Rosy, probably from an original newspaper source.
Date
Exact Date Unknown. c.1930 (Probably from a newspaper—the print in Malayalam is showing in inverse—circa 1930s, because PK Rosy’s first and most famous film was released in 1928, and she went into “invisibility” in the 40s and 50s. Born in 1903, her age in the photo indicates the provenance from way before 1958, which is the date required by Indian copyright law for the commons.)
it was published prior to 1 January 1964 (as per the S.25 of The Indian Copyright Act, 1957);
its author died prior to 1 January 1964.
This file may not be in the public domain outside India. A United States public domain tag is also required ({{PD-1996}} usually applies to photographs created before 1946).
This work is in the public domain in the United States because it meets three requirements:
it was first published outside the United States (and not published in the U.S. within 30 days),
it was first published before 1 March 1989 without copyright notice or before 1964 without copyright renewal or before the source country established copyright relations with the United States,
it was in the public domain in its home country on the URAA date (January 1, 1996 for most countries).
For background information, see the explanations on Non-U.S. copyrights. Note: This tag should not be used for sound recordings.
