Description Coat of arms of Princess Victoria Melita of Edinburgh and Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (the post-1837 arms of the UK, with an escutcheon of Saxony, and a label overall). She was the third child and second daughter of Alfred, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, and of Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia. She was a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and also of Emperor Alexander II of Russia.
