| Description |
English: Haripur, formerly known as Harihara pur was the capital of Bhanj dynasty before getting shifted to Baripada. This garh was established by Maharaj Harihar Bhanj in 1400 CE. Maharaj Baidyanath Bhanj was the first among the Bhanj rulers to adopt Baisnab faith, and to show his toath towrds his Diksha Guru Rasikananda Deb Goswami, he built a magnificent red burned brick temple devoted as Rasik Ray temple. The architecture style of this temple is very rare-The Goudiya types. This place holds a great archeological value. There also remains Jagannath temple and Laxmi-Narayan temple among other ruins of the garh. |
