Rochester, New York


English: Broad Street Bridge, as seen from the South. This bridge was formerly the Erie Canal Aqueduct (built in 1842) that allowed the Erie Canal to cross the Genesee River. In the time from 1927 to 1956 it hosted the Rochester Subway which followed the former bed of the Erie Canal and which was covered by the Broad Street.
