DescriptionSar Pass Top as seen from Sar Pass I IMG 7176.jpg
English: Taken from below at 8.33 a.m. on 10/5/07 while crossing Sar Pass Trek in Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh, India. Two of our trekkers decided to climb it upto the top within 30 minutes or 1 hour despite the advice from other trekkers. Even our experienced local guide (for whom crossing Sar Pass was a child's play) told them that it was not possible even for him to do so. So both our friends started on their mission with the Guide's Snow Axe. Within 15 minute or so they realised how steep it was & they have hardly climbed anything. They surely realised that they are wasting their energy & returned back with 'boos' from the trekkers. Top must be more than at least 16000 ft. or even more. Trekking over it is no child's play. Even trekking from Tilaa Lotani (12,500 ft.) camp to Biskeri ridge (13,800 ft.), our highest point, avoiding steep slopes was so difficult.
