English: Miles Stapleton KG from the Bruges Garter Book, 1430/1440, BL Stowe 594. On his tabard the arms of Stapleton: Argent, a lion rampant sable. On the board are shown 4 shields of his successor Knights of the Garter:
  • Left: Beauchamp quartering Warrenne, Earl of Surrey;
  • Top: Bohun;
  • Bottom: Arms of Stafford: Or, a chevron gules
  • Right: Arms of Sir Thomas Erpingham, KG: Vert, an inescutcheon within an orle of martlets argent
