View NE, out of town on the Colchester main line, ex-Great Eastern. The occasion was the Railway Correspondence & Travel Society East London Rail Tour on Saturday 14 April 1951. The crowded eight-coach train of LNER stock was here on the Up Main Local line platform ending a complex tour of East London lines at Stratford, hauled for half the trip by LMS 3F 0-6-0T No. 47300.
