Summary
| Description |
Čeština: 2,2 metrů vysoká bronzová socha J.A. Komenského od strážnického rodáka, akademického sochaře Miroslava Hudečka. Byla odhalena 28.3.1984 v den 392. výročí narození Komenského a při příležitosti 380. výročí jeho příchodu do Strážnice. Komenský se jako dvanáctiletý v roce 1604 přistěhoval do Strážnice ke své tetě Zuzaně a navštěvoval zde bratrskou školu. V květnu 1605 byla Strážnice vypálena Bočkajovci. Byl zabit i Komenského strýc a shořel jeho dům. Poté se Komenský vrátil do Nivnice. |
