Description
English: VR Class Sr1 electric locomotive #3089 (built by Novotsherkassk in 1981) at Helsinki railway station during the summer 1997. On March 6, 1998 this locomotive was badly damaged in Jyväskylä. Locomotive derailed at switch, hit a car and eventually crashed into a pillar.
Suomi: VR:n Sr1-sarjan sähköveturi numero 3089 (Novotšerkassk 1981). Veturi vaurioitui pahoin 6.3.1998 Jyväskylän junaonnettomuudessa, kun se suistui vaihteessa ja törmäsi ensin henkilöautoon ja sitten katto edellä siltapilariin. Veturi hylättiin 1.10.1998 ja romutettiin pari vuotta myöhemmin, kun ajatus tämän ja Jokelassa vaurioituneen 3048:n yhdistämisestä havaittiin taloudellisesti kannattamattomaksi.
