English: The 2.0m f/7.8 Fraunhofer reflector of the Wendelstein Observatory. The telescope was installed in 2011. It is named after the famous Bavarian telescope maker Joseph von Fraunhofer.
This instrument is the newest, most modern 2m-class telescope in Europe. The silver box at the left is the "Wendelstein Wide Field Imager" (WWFI), an array of four CCD chips (4048 x 4048 pixels each), covering a field of view of about 0.5°.
