English: Northbound Somerset & Dorset train climbing up from Shepton Mallet at Windsor Hill.
View SE, towards Shepton Mallet, Templecombe and Bournemouth; S&D line, Bath - Templecombe - Bournemouth West. This stretch was a hell of a climb, about 8 miles at 1-in-50 from Evercreech Junction (with a short break at Shepton Mallet) to the Mendips summit at Masbury; the southbound climb from Radstock was almost as tough. The train is the 12.00 stopping-train from Templecombe to Bath (Green Park), by then with modern motive-power, BR Standard 4MT 4-6-0 No. 75071.
