- ^ Morocco and Tunisia drew 1-1 on aggregate. Morocco advanced by lot.
- ^ Morocco won 3-2 on aggregate and qualified, but withdrew after refusing to play against Israel in the 1968 Summer Olympics final tournament in Group C. As a result, Ghana replaced Morocco.
- ^ The aggregate score was tied 0–0, and a play-off on neutral ground was played to decide who would advance to the Final Round. Morocco advanced by winning a coin toss.
- ^ Morocco withdrew from the competition before this match. Accordingly, FIFA awarded Zaire a 2–0 win on walkover.
