Masaki Saisho, who played Kayako in ''[[Ju-On: The Beginning of the End|Ju-on : Beginning of the End]]'' and ''[[Ju-On: The Final Curse|Ju-on : The Final Curse]]'', isn't acting in the movie either<ref>https://twitter.com/bariukeuke/status/739315206073901060</ref>, making the actress playing Kayako in ''Sadako vs Kayako'' the 4th one to do so (counting [[Aiko Horiuchi]] who starred in ''[[The Grudge 3]]''). == Promotion and marketing == A certain number of events were held for the promotion of the movie. On Twitter, users can vote for either Sadako of Kayako as their favorite horror icon. Two videos, one for Sadako and one for Kayako and Toshio, were uploaded on Youtube to appeal on the voters. In the end of May, a press conference was held to promote the movie.
