Khalil Rountree, Jr. Born February 26, 1990, is an American mixed martial artist from Las Vegas who competes as a light heavyweight, and contestant on Season 23 of the The Ultimate Fighter.
Early Life
Rountree was born in Los Angeles, the oldest of 4 siblings to Khalil Rountree, Sr. and Taryn Moret. His father was tour manager for the R&B group, Boyz II Men, and was murdered in an attempted robbery while on tour with the band in 1992 . After losing his father when he was two years old, Khalil’s mother moved Khalil and his siblings to Las Vegas where she worked hard to provide a life and opportunities for her family. Growing up Khalil wanted to be a musician and followed in his father's footsteps as tour manager for Impending Doom (American band).
Mixed Martial Arts
There, he demonstrated his brutal force with his striking, and developed his muay thai skill set.
