Slothrust was formed by Leah Wellbaum ([[Vocals (phonetics)|vocals]], [[guitar]]), Kyle Bann ([[Bass guitar|bass]]), and Will Gorin ([[Drum|drums]]). On January 9, 2017 Slothrust announced a US headline tour throughout March. The band later revealed IAN SWEET, And The Kids, and Sons Of An Illustrious Father were joining the tour as opening acts. Continuing to play live shows, Slothrust revealed April tour dates with Highly Suspect, and a second US headline tour in July and August with supporting artists [[Ron Gallo]], Tancred, and [[Ratboys]]. In March, Slothrust was revealed in the lineup for the 2017 Chicago music festival [[Lollapalooza]].
