History
Epic was released on August 29, 2013 and focused on protecting users' privacy online. First released on 15 July 2010, Epic Browser is originally based on Chromium (web browser) and is customized to the taste of Indian users. The browser had several pre-installed widgets such as social networking, chat clients and email facilities integrated into the browser.
Features
Epic's default configuration takes a proactive approach to ensuring that session data (such as cookies, history, and cache) are removed when the browser is exited. The browser also includes a proxy service that can be enabled at the user's discretion, and is automatically enabled when using a search engine. Other features, such as preferring SSL connections and always sending a Do Not Track header, promote a heightened state of privacy in comparison to some other browsers.
Supplementary services found in the Chromium browser that send data to external servers, such as address bar suggestion and installation tracking, are removed in Epic to reduce the scope of potential data leakage.
Epic is currently available for Windows 7 and later, and Mac OS X, with support for other operating systems expected.

Epic is a privacy-centric web browser developed by Hidden Reflex (a software product company founded by Alok Bhardwaj and based in Washington DC and Bangalore, India. )and based on Chromium source code. .(The browser has no connection with the Electronic Privacy Information Center, a civil liberties group that's known as EPIC. ) . Epic is in always-on "private browsing mode", so on close of Epic all browsing data is deleted (while you're browsing as little as possible is stored). Epic has removed all Google tracking and blocks hundreds of other companies from tracking users.
