Tobias Pottek started his professional career as urological consultant at gederal armed forces hospital Hamburg (1998-2003). While serving that role, he became Head of Urology [[SFOR]] field hospital in Bosnia-Herzegovina (1998-1999) and Kosovo (2002). After serving as a consultant, he became Deputy Head of Urology for the Federal armed forces hospital in Hamburg from 2003 to 2007.
After the serving the German Federal armed forces Tobias Pottek became Head of urology Clinic for two hospitals, serving that position in Wedel Regioklinikum Hospital (2007-2009) and [[Asklepios Kliniken|Asklepios Westklinikum]] (2009-2017).
