Hinako Takagi is a Japanese composer, pianist and teacher.
== Biography ==
Takagi was born and raised in Amagasaki, Hyogo. In junior high, she was asked to compose a song for her class for a school event. The experience inspired her to be interested in music composition. She majored in piano in high school, and enrolled in composition major in university.
In her freshman year, she received an assignment from her then teacher, Prof. Yoko Kubo, to compose "100 variations of the same piece in one year." From this task, she learned the basics of composition.
She studied composition with [https://www.daion.ac.jp/professor/003/ Yoko Kubo] and [[Allain Gaussin]]. Currently she is working as a part-time lecturer at [https://www.daion.ac.jp/ Osaka College of Music] In Osaka, Japan.

In order to turn contemporary music, a music genre that one may find difficult to listen to, to something more familiar for everyone, she and her friends have been organizing events like small concerts with new musical arrangements to engage people’s interest in contemporary music.
