'This is a sentence to start the talk page. The article's author will fix the user name used from "lchcwiki" to a new user name.Lchcwiki (talk) 00:51, 9 October 2010 (UTC) == Conflict of Interest problem == October 9, 2010. The original author of the article, now Gom1896, (was Lchcwiki) made the error of originally creating the username "Lchcwiki" to post this article, which has "LCHC" in the title. Wikipedia software detected this repetition of "LCHC" as a potential conflict of interest and blocked the article. The block consists of inserting some code at the beginning. I consulted with the Wikipedia chat/help site where <+Chzz> advised me to delete the code and provide an explanation on the Talk page. "Lchcwiki" is now Gom1896. There is no actual conflict of interest in this case. Gom1896 (talk) 06:31, 9 October 2010 (UTC) Gom1896 :So you have no affiliation with LCHC at all? LCHC is a social science lab on the campus of UC San Diego. I don't have any formal affiliation, economic, academic or otherwise, with LCHC. This does not mean you cannot go back in and change things again to your liking. In Wikipedia editing, sometimes several edits go back and forth with various kinds of modifications of a passage before things settle down to a generally accepted formulation. Do not take this personally! LOL This is the Wikipedia way. If different approaches seem to be conflicting, feel free to use this Talk Page to discuss differences of opinion, emphasis, ideas, etc. That is what this Talk Page is essentially for. SOME TIPS ON EDITING EDIT MODE 1) Click on the Edit tab at the top to put the entire article in Edit mode. 2) In Edit mode, all footnotes (Notes and References in this article) are embedded in the main text. This can make the text a bit tricky to read when in Edit mode. FOOTNOTES 3) Footnotes are found in between the markers <+ref> and <+/ref> but without the + signs. 4) Adding or deleting a footnote one will automatically renumber the existing footnotes. LINKS 5) A link to another Wikipedia article is created by surrounding the word(s) one wants to link with as in [+[cognitive anthropology]+] (but omit the + signs). 6) If you want to link a phrase to another Wikipedia article but that phrase uses different words than in the title of the article you intend to link to, use the format [+[ | ]+] (Again, no + signs in the actual). This means [+[use the correct linked phrase here | then type or paste the actual words used in this article's text here]+] When you do this only the text following the pipe symbol | will appear in the article you are editing. (I need to use the + signs to keep these symbols from working on this page.) 7) External links can be pasted easily. Remember to check them after you Save to make sure they work as intended. REMEMBER TO SAVE 8) You can Preview as you Edit but you must remember to "Save page" for the modifications to actually take. You can always cancel before you Save. There is also a "Show changes" feature to help you compare the old and new. CREATING A USERNAME 9) It is recommended that you create a Wikipedia username when you edit articles but this is not required. If you don't, your IP address will be recorded instead. You also have the choice of not associating any email address with the username. There are certain advantages to providing an email address, such as receiving notifications of changes made to an article. This check box appears while in Edit mode. SIGNING TALK PAGE POSTS 10) Your last symbols on a your Talk Page post should be four tildes ~~~~ ~~~~'
