'''Souljah Fyah''' is an award-winning [[reggae]] band based in Canada. The band is led by vocalist–bassist Janaya "Sista J" Ellis (Love Empire Entertainment) and stylistically straddles [[Roots Reggae]] and [[Dancehall]].

Souljah Fyah was named “Top Reggae Band” at the 2009 Canadian Reggae Music Awards. The band has opened shows in Western Canada for such Reggae and World Music luminaries as [[Morgan Heritage]], [[Buju Banton]], [[Mikey Dread]] and [[King Sunny Ade]].
Besides Ellis, Souljah Fyah’s current lineup includes Dorant "Saint" Ricketts on drums and vocals, "2-Tall" Paul Joosse on bass, guitar, vocals and keyboards, "Stormin' Norm" Frizzell on keyboards, and Bongbiemi "The Original Tribesman" Nfor on percussion.
The band also released a self-titled album in 2004, recorded in Edmonton at Bruce Suzuki Studios<ref>http://www.vueweekly.com/article.php?id=454</ref>. [[IBO]] and Janaya Ellis co-produced the album at Calgary's Tac Time Studios. In June 2009, Souljah Fyah released an EP of songs produced by [[Stew Kirkwood]] called ''Tears of a Fool''. A third full-length album is planned for early 2010.
