Doughty Hanson & Co traces its history back to 1985 when Nigel Doughty and Richard Hanson began working together on European buyout investments.
Doughty Hanson invests in private equity, real estate and technology ventures and has made more than 100 investments with a total value in excess of €23 billion.
Nigel Doughty is the owner and chairman of [[Nottingham Forest F.C.]], and is a long standing fan of the club, having watched his first game whilst a child. The club was promoted to The Championship in 2008.
