There are approximately 300 temples in Chandausi. The Indian Railway Training Institute (ZRTI), Ministry of railways, Govt of India is the oldest (and North India's only) railway training Institute, where group c railway employees like Driver, Guard, Ticket Checker, Station Master, Traffic Inspector, Commercial Inspector, JE (signal & Telecom) etc. are trained for initial, promotional and refresher courses. Applicants pass All India Railway Examinations to get admission into the institute. ZRTI is headed by a senior civil services officer.<ref name=zrti /> == Industry == Chandausi is known for mint oil, which has become the city's main trade. The mint plant (Mentha piperata) is cultivated on a large scale. After extracting essential oils from the plant through distillation, the products are exported. The city is also known for Ghee and traditional Ganesh chaurthi utsava. It is also known for the automatically moving statues' presentation, which is led by the representatives of Ganesha i.e. "Elephants", at the time of Ganesh Chaturthi, which is rare. A large crowd attends this festival in Chandausi. Ganesh mela is stretched in the area of 10 acres comprising 350–400 of stalls, showrooms, halls, canopies etc. One can find the variety of shopping outlets, clothes, capital goods, eating establishments, entertainment, specially for children. Every other day there are many events and competitions for promoting and encouraging the young upcoming talented artists of Chandausi and surrounding area. The events range from dance, acting, singing, music to paining, sports and other activities. These events are organized by the private as well as Govt. bodies. They provide a good platform for the youth to enhance their skills and talents. Chandausi is also known for its Gajak which is generally prepared in the winter season (October – February). Gajak is prepared with sesame seeds and [[jaggery]] (or cane sugar) with a method of preparation which is time consuming. It takes about 10–15 hours to prepare 5–8 kilograms of Gajak. It is said that when Lord Hanuman ji took incarnation (Prakat hue the), the place was marked by his idol and hence this temple contains that idol of Lord Hanuman. A huge crowd worships in this temple every Tuesday and Saturday as these days are the days of Lord Hanuman. The temple has idols of Shri Ram parivar, Shri krishna Parivar, Shiv Parivar, Goddess Durga, Lord Bhero ji, Lord Sai Baba etc. It is situated on a small hill (Teela) and has a cave under the Hanuman ji statue.
