Mummidivaram is the second largest urban populated (Approximately 30,000) area in Konaseema. It is place of beautiful green fields and various streams of river Godavari pass through. The area resembles Alleppy in Kerala. Some of the area is covered with back waters and Madh forests across the Bay of Bengal.

Lord Shiva temple is one of the oldest and most ancient temple in the area. As per the legend, the temple was built by Surya Bhagwan.

The area is also a home to other major religions like Christianity and Islam. People of different faiths live peacefully here.
