Bandmates [[Brian Welch]], [[James Shaffer]] and [[Reginald Arvizu]] took up [[pseudonym]]s, while Silveria and singer [[Jonathan Davis]] remained using their real names. Korn proceeded to popularize the alternative metal sub-genre in the music industry, selling over 40 million albums worldwide. Silveria sat out a part of the "Sick and Twisted 2000" and "Summer Sanitarium" tours due to injury, with [[Mike Bordin]] from [[Faith No More]] filling in on drums. Silveria did not give any interviews during his hiatus. He dedicated his time and efforts to his children and running his steak house and sushi restaurant. In December 2009, David changed his steak house into a Rock and Sports themed bar in downtown Huntington Beach California called "Silvera's RockBar", and no longer owns 50% of shares of his sushi restaurant, agreeing to terms to sell his half of ownership over to his ex-wife after a year long court battle. In an interview with HeadBanger's Blog, Jonathan Davis said that he had not spoken to David since his hiatus. Although David maintains no relationship with his former bandmates, he has stated that he has no hard feelings towards guitarist [[James Shaffer]]. He then went on to say in a later status that fans should 'Flood Jd's and Munkys twitter to bring the original 5 back together.(Which never happen)' Later commenting that he had 'made contact,' fans began predicting that a Korn reunion of all five members might be a possibility. On January 7, 2013, guitarist [[Brian Head Welch]] stated in an Interview that "David has really said some crazy things online about personal things and he’s not in a place where people would really want him around. My posts have been about my work with Korn during our early years specifically during our first three records." David Silveria has stated that he only wants to restore Korn's original sound, and would like to sit down and have a talk with the band about their early days, the future of the band and Korn's original sound. However, Jonathan Davis stated on Twitter that "I will never never play with him again," (which appears to be a reference to the title of Korn's first single 'Never Never' from its latest album ''[[The Paradigm Shift]]''). 'Sorry, guys. Fieldy has acted like a tough guy for so long it’s nice to tell the truth,' The Pulse Of Radio reports as being posted on his official Facebook page. 'Not only is he NOT a tough guy but he’s a cowardly little bitch. He never tried to fight me ‘cuz he knows I would squash him like a bug. He acted like a tough guy on tour to our staff ‘cuz he knew he could get away with it because our crew got paid well and didn’t want to lose their jobs.'...'He used that to walk around acting like he thought he was a tough gangsta. Our entire crew laughed at him behind his back because they all knew he is a pussy. I would love to see him out somewhere with no security to protect the runt. On December 24th, 2013, David Silveria posted the following on facebook; "I speak the truth about Korn and most people understand and agree. Some people get angry. Remember this was my life working with these guys for 20 years and spent many of those years developing the Korn sound. I love the music I made with Korn except for SYOTOS. That was the beginning of the great decline. You can't imagine how proud I am of the music I was able to be a part of with these great musicians. The downfall was totally avoidable and that is what I resent. Egos and shity arrogant attitudes. Control freak nonsense. I was the only guy to stand up to it all and call bullshit. And instead of other band members acting like men I was singled out because I didn't put my tail between my legs and say yes sir. I would not bow down. That lead to my departure. I love and miss all of the Korn fans around the world. Knowing Korn is now the Jon show it's not Korn anymore and I think it is sad. I have always loved playing our music and I never lost passion for that. What I lost passion for was the continuous ongoing drama that increasingly got worse to the point of draining the enthusiasm from me. David has had numerous posts taken from his Facebook page and reported to online metal sites, including this site, depicting David to be hateful and vindictive, when this quote above, is his true feelings and wants people and fans to know. All the negative reposts taken from David's page, were plain conversations where people get him riled up or complete jokes. On April 2, David Silveria's new band Infinika released their new single and music video via YouTube called Beautiful World.
