It is popular in and frequently performed in the [[Republic of Macedonia]], [[Bulgaria]], [[Serbia]], [[Bosnia and Herzegovina]], and [[Macedonia (Greece)|northern Greece]]. It is about two young lovers separated by their disapproving parents.
