Peter Burgelis born October 26, 1977, is a first generation Latvian-American, born and raised in Milwaukee County. His parents were both born in Latvia- mother Aija Lapins and father Andrew Egils Burgelis both immigrated to the US in the 1950s from displaced persons camps in Germany following World War Two.
