It is used primarily for basketball, and is home to the Lobos de [[Universidad Autónoma de Durango]]-Mazatlan basketball team. It is also used for [[concerts]], [[boxing]] and [[lucha libre]]. Despite its name, the arena's roof is arch-shaped.
