In February 2010 Salinas sexually assaulted a student at Central Connecticut State University. In August of the same year (2010) Salinas was arrested on counts of sexual assault and unlawful restraint. Although Salinas was only arrested for this one incident, it has been reported that there are several other female students who have been assaulted by Salinas himself. Salinas is currently on suspension from Central Connecticut State University as he waits to be sentenced. It is unclear why the school has yet to fire or take swift action against Salinas due to the nature of the crime.
