*Minsk City Executive Committee
*National Governmental Broadcasting Company of the Republic of Belarus
*RPA Belarusian Union of Film-Makers
*National Film Studio Belarusfilm

with assistance of:
*Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus
*Parliamentary Assembly of Belarus and Russia
*Union State Standing Committee

==Objectives==

*feature films support, the formation of its high social and cultural status;
*maintaining of a common cinematic space in Russia, CIS, Baltic and other foreign countries;
*development of creative contacts and experiences, ideas exchange between cinematographers from the Republic of Belarus and foreign countries;
*lending support in cinematography to creative young people;
*presentation of the best films of the past two years, specially mentioned at international festivals and highly appreciated by cinematographers and viewers to the Belarusian audience;
*cultural relations consolidation between Belarus and foreign countries, as well as the creative communications between cinematographers of participating countries;
*popularization of the cinematography achievements of different countries.

==History==
Originally, "Listapad" was conceived as a film festival of CIS and Baltic countries. As a rule those films which for some reason were not widely distributed but clearly illustrated the culture of different countries were selected.
That was the way the festival was held for the first time in November 1994. With time the festival grew, gained prestige and achieved international status in 2003. Then the films from Russia, Poland, USA, Iran, Serbia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, China and Japan were brought to Minsk.

==Listapad 2010==

In 2010 the festival appeared in a completely updated format. The Festival competition program was as follows:
*the main competition of feature films (12 films),
*new movie competition (9 debut films of directors from all over the world, including for the first time films from India, Peru, Venezuela, Spain, Uruguay),
*non-feature films competition (20 films),
*non-feature competition for young directors (12 films).

"Masakra”, the film by Belarusian director Andrei Kudinenko was presented in the main competition of feature films.
At the XVII MIFF Listapad for the first time the winner was determined by the professional jury, not the viewers. It was made because viewers can’t see all the competition films, at best they get acquainted with 30% of the films, and this is biased. Before making a decision the professional jury is sure to see all the films.

==Directorate of the Festival==

*Gennady Davydko - Chairman of the Festival
*Irina Demyanova - Director of Documentary Film
*Igor Sukmanov - director of feature films
*Angelica Kraszewskaia - festival director
*Xenia Danina - Program Director of the Festival of Children's and Youth Film "Listapadzik"
