The population was 4,139 at the 2000 census. ==Geography== According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the township has a total area of 43.5&nbsp;square miles (112.5&nbsp;km²), of which, 40.1&nbsp;square miles (103.9&nbsp;km²) of it is land and 3.3&nbsp;square miles (8.6&nbsp;km²) of it (7.66%) is water. ==Demographics== As of the [[census]]{{GR|2}} of 2000, there were 4,139 people, 1,318 households, and 1,093 families residing in the township. The [[population density]] was 103.2 people per square mile (39.8/km²). There were 1,357 housing units at an average density of 33.8/sq&nbsp;mi (13.1/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.37% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.24% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.58% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.53% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.02% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.51% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.75% from two or more races.
