The Corner Stone Cues (CSC) music label was established in 2006 by Nathan Duvall.
“Requiem For A Tower” was the debut release for CSC, featuring in the trailer for Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. “Requiem” was the culmination of a five-year odyssey that began with the re-orchestration and arrangement of Clint Mansell’s “Requiem For A Dream”. Composers Daniel Nielsen, Simone Benyacar, Craig Stuart Garfinkle and Nathan Duvall created eleven new songs recorded in Seattle to accompany the three movements of “Requiem.”
Since its release, the "Requiem" track has been placed by British broadcasting company Sky TV as the theme for Barclays English Premiere League Football coverage. Other licenses have included Wimbledon, 2006 Olympics, 2007 Super Bowl, 2007 NASCAR Championship, college football’s the Rose Bowl, and the NBA Playoffs.
CSC has released five more offerings in quick succession – “Air Lyndhurst,” “El Morro,” “Holliston Stops,” “LISSA,” and “Eton Path.” The “Air Lyndhurst,” “El Morro” and “Eton Path” compilations are more traditional orchestral and orchestral hybrid interpretations of film trailer music. “Holliston Stops” and “LISSA” have been licensed for placement in U.S. television programs like ABC’s “Cashmere Mafia,” The CW’s “Gossip Girl,” and FX’s “Dirt.”
The most recent release, “Eton Path,” includes the London Studio Orchestra, Purcell Singers, Azam Ali, Dierdre Dubois, Riffat Salamatt, Brain, Buckethead, and Damian Marley. The centerpiece of the collection may be the orchestral re-imaging’s of the Led Zeppelin songs "Ten Years Gone” and "Kashmir." CSC has composed two movements titled "Ten Years Kashmir Mvt I& II.” "Ten Years Kashmir" has been placed in "John Carter", "Top Gear", and "So You Think You Can Dance (UK)"
CSC records and mixes its orchestral releases at both AIR Studios in London and Bellas Artes Caguas in Puerto Rico. The production team from AIR includes film tracking and mixing engineers Nick Wollage, Olga Fitzroy, and Nick Cervonaro.
