The show is produced by Edit II Productions and is being broadcast Monday to Friday nights. The sitcom was nominated for the Best Sitcom category at the Indian Telly Awards in 2009. The sitcom is set in a police station. On March 16, 2013, the show took a 20 year leap from 2013 to 2033 but from 8 July 2013 the setting has returned to the present. ==Plot== F.I.R. is an acronym for First Information Report that the Indian police prepares for each case to be investigated. FIR is a situational comedy serial revolving around a haryanvi police officer named Chandramukhi Chautala and her two subordinates, head constable Gopinath Gandothra and constable Billu. The show depicts their lives as they try to solve every case which comes to Imaan Chowki . Over the seasons several characters were introduced such as Inspector Hanuman Prasad Pandey (season 1); Inspector Raj Aryan (season 2); Inspector Bajrang Pandey (season 3), Koki and her sister Joki ; the Commissioner and his brother-in-law Billu Prasad Chaurasia, who suffers from periodic memory loss and mistakes himself for someone else, for example, a gangster, a common man, a famous film character etc. The show took a 20 year leap when Kavita Kaushik, who played the lead role, departed from the show and introduced Chitrashi Rawat as Chandramukhi's daughter, Jwalamukhi Chautala. The changes were reverted on 8 July' 2013 and the incidents occurring in the 20 year leap were converted into sub-inspector Gopi's dream and the show then continued along with Chandramukhi Chautala's return. ==Cases== New cases come to the police station in every episode. An individual or a group come with a complaint or a problem. The problem generally has nothing to do with police. It may be a case of love, divorce, snoring, or bad cooking. The Chandramukhi Chautala and her constables solve the case successfully though the case has nothing to do with their official duties as police officers. ==Character Information== <!-- --> ===Cast === *Kavita Kaushik as Inspector Chandramukhi Chautala (2006–2013, 2013-present) *Vipul Roy as Cheif Inspector Bhola Pandit (2013-Present) * Gopi Bhalla as Gopinath Gandotra (2006–Present) * Kiku Sharda as Hawaldaar Gulgule (2006-2013, 2013-present) * Sandeep Anand as Head Constable Billu (2012–Present) *Suresh Chatwal as Commissioner Suraj Agnihotri * Shekhar Shukla as Victim (Various characters) *Manju Sharma as Victim's relative (Various characters) * Naveen Bawa as Villain (Various characters) * Sapna Sikarwar as Victim's relative (Various characters) * Yogesh Tripathi as Villain (Various characters) ===Former cast === * Aamir Ali as Chief Inspector Bajrang Pandey (2011–2013) *Ali Asgar as Inspector Raj Aaryan (2009–2011 ) *Shiv Pandit as Inspector Hanuman Prasad Pandey (2006–2008 ) * Bharti Singh as Superindendent Kamsin Aaha ( 2012 ) * Garima Ajmani as Kokila Shah * Divyaalakshmi as Jokila Shah * Deepesh Bhan as Various Characters * Anup Upadhyay as Various Characters * Amit Bhatt as Various Characters * Mohit Mattu as Hawaldar Carryon Gandotra (2013–2013) * Nirmal Soni as Malpua (2013) * Chitrashi Rawat as Jwalamukhi Chautala (2013) * Prana Mishra as Well (2013) ==Supporting Appearances== * Iqbal Azad as Original Inspector Hanumaan Prasad Pandey (Episode No. 1 & 15) * Dolly Bindra * Dilip Joshi as various characters * Karan Grover as karan * Juhi Parmar as heroine * Bharti Singh as SP Kamsin Aaha * Rakesh Bedi as various characters ==Awards== {| border="2" cellpadding="4" cellspacing="0" style="margin: 1em 1em 1em 0; background: #f9f9f9; border: 1px #aaa solid; border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 90%;" |- bgcolor="#B0C4DE" align="center" !
