He is primarily known for his work in [[string theory]] and mathematical physics. ==Biography== Amer Iqbal received his Master’s degree in mathematics from Quaid-i-Azam University in 1996 and Ph.D in [[theoretical physics]] from MIT in 2000. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas at Austin and, later, at Harvard University. Before joining LUMS he was Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the University of Washington, Seattle.
