This is a non-profit that in no way represents or is affiliated with any Canadian Metis governing bodies, but instead is part of a movement to claim Metis identity for a broad swathe of mixed-heritage people regardless of community. I deleted most of it as it literally had nothing to do with the title of the article, and was just their propaganda, and the rest is probably junk also.
