==History==
It was founded in 1916 by [[Max Lindemann]]. The French and British Etam clothing chains were separate companies until the French company bought the British one for £97m in 1997. In June 2011, the French company re-launched into the UK.{{cn|date=April 2021}}

[[Alix Bancourt]], the French designer, was worked with them. [[Natalia Vodianova]], the Russian model, has designed lingerie for them.
