If you're familiar with the master and think your evidence is compelling, it might not be a bad idea to hit up an individual admin who works SPI or something. Talking SPI at the Teahouse is a little bit risky. I admit my first comment came from a place of suspicion rather than good faith, for which I can only apologise. I was trying to follow WP:BEANS, but I'm also not an SPI expert by any means. If you're convinced of your evidence, you may be able to convince someone who can do something about it. @Folly Mox: Oh no, I don't have behavioural evidence on who the master is, it's just that they both edit like they know a lot about editing (one of the actions of an account was revert a page move from draft "because it was done by a blocked sock"), despite having less than 20 edits, and they were both inactive for 8(for 1 account) 9 months (they were created 3 minutes apart). It's basically just <these edits> and the things I said above.

It did irritate me that you were seemingly giving advice for the sockers instead of for me, but it's fine, it's an impression I was conscious of while writing that question (as a dynamic IP) which is why I tried to not be too vague. And if they do end up seeing the question and "if" it's a socker and they abandon the accounts, I guess that's a fine outcome too.

Also by the way, there is currently a bug that makes notifications not go away for IPs WP:VPT#Orange bar of doom seems to be broken. So I might just bump my IPv6 in the next half an hour for the message to go away (happens every time a device (re)connects to the adapter, for some reason), if I keep editing the wiki. I'm usually the only one on my /32 range, although at rare months there are others, and at rare times my IP turns into IPv4 only - I'm aware how difficult this makes communication, I just try not to have to and I do check if someone responded. – 2804:F14:80D6:E401:A100:7130:CB35:ACE0 (talk) 07:16, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
